The son of convicted swindler Bernard Madoff has been found dead in his apartment in New York.Eldest son, Mark Madoff, was found after committing suicide on the second anniversary of his father's arrest.
46-year-old Madoff had worked at his father's firm and had been under pressure from legal figures, administrators and investors, who believed he may have been involved with his father's illegal business practices.
After the body was found Mark Madoff's lawyer
released a statement to say his client had succumbed to unrelenting pressure from "false accusations and innuendo."
Bernard Madoff, 72, is serving a 150-year prison over a Ponzi scheme he managed to run for decades.
The scheme defrauded investors, who lost billions of dollars.
The Madoff sons and other family members worked for the Bernard L Madoff Investment Securities LLC at the same time as the Ponzi scheme was revealed.
