Earlier in 2010, the song "Whip My Hair" became a huge smash with plenty of viral buzz. Last night, Willow unleashed the song on the Times Square crowd and all the viewers at home, which could propel her stardom even more. In the video seen below via YouTube, the 10-year-old Willow Smith shows off her "hair-whipping" abilities on stage as she lip syncs and yells for her hit song. The song according to Willow is supposed to make people scared, but it seemed to have all the New Year's Eve party people jamming to the tune.
Prior to the performance, host Ryan Seacrest unveiled footage from the early 90's of Willow's dad, Will Smith, performing as "The Fresh Prince" along with Jazzy Jeff. The song back then was called "Girls are Nuthin But Trouble," but it's doubtful that's how Will feels about his young daughter (or wife Jada). Now over twenty year's later, the talent truly runs in the family, as Jaden Smith has starred in a hit movie and Willow Smith has a hit song!
Check out Willow Smith as she performs "Whip My Hair" for Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve. Not bad for a ten year old! Think she'll have a good musical career ahead of her?
